Savannah Russe is no recluse! She is available throughout the year to sign books and/or talk with readers in New York City, Philadelphia, or the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton PA areas. But the world's her stage! Since she travels frequently, please check the "Upcoming Events and Appearances" to see if she will be near you. She'd be happy to come by.

Savannah also teaches two novel-writing workshops: "Writing What Sells" and "Writing What You Know." Each workshop runs for two hours and participants should bring a sample of their writing.

Hi to Everyone and a special hello to all you Russe Readers!

I'm back from my book tour to Columbia SC, Savannah GA, and Charleston SC. What a splendid time!!

My first stop was Waldenbooks in Columbia. The staff there headed by manager Brandon Porter was incredible. I gave each of them a Savannah Russe T-shirt and they all put them on right away. You just have to take a look at the picture below. A number of fans came by and a big hello to all of them. You can see the pictures with Chris (she's the pregnant one), Crystal, beautiful Rachel, and the young man who is an aspiring writer.

Next was beautiful Savannah. Oh my how I love that city. Cindy Reid at Barnes and Noble on Abercorn gave me a fabulous welcome. I met so many wonderful people there too. You can see me with young Elizabeth in the photo. I told her she had to wait a few years before reading the Darkwing Chronicles!! A handsome couple invited me to a "Pagan and Vampire Festival" at Black Oaks the following night. I couldn't go but I bet it was amazing.

Then I was in Charleston, and what can I say, it's one of America's great cities. I met up with my dear friend and head of Russe Readers, Brynda Huntley, and Emily Vandall from Force Protection, Inc. for a tour of the facility at Force Protection. Yes I saw a real-life Buffalo as well as the Cougar and the Cheetah. I can't give away any details--it's all top secret--except that I was impressed beyond words. These ballistic- and mine-protected vehicles save American lives in battle and keep our young men and women from devastating injuries. I wish we were not at war, but as long as we're there, at least we need to bring out people home safely. Force Protection vehicles can make sure we do!!! Emily also hosted a lunch for me (see the pictures!!) at a terrific Charleston restaurant called Tristan's. Everyone was so gracious, warm, and friendly it brings me to tears. Then after lunch, Brynda, her lifelong friend Irene, and I went over to Waldenbooks in downtown Charleston for a signing. We sold a ton of books and met dozens of great folks. Wow!

Of course there was more fun. I went with Brynda to the Watersedge restaurant. Those pictures are in front of Shem Creek. We had such a great time.
